send in your information and advice,
edits to be made and whatever will help the website become better for everyone.
I have employed a
professional web design company to make the site framework as it involves a
lot of techniques
that I don't have access to. What they plan to do is make a framework page into which the info will be placed.
The site will work like a directory and people can access different parts of the directory. However, due to the
confidential nature of the contents, the site will only be password accessed so each person will have to register
in order to access the full site in future. This is also to protect my investment of employing the many genealogists
who have put so much time into this project and that time is extremely costly. Their work should only be accessible
by Coussins and Simpson family members.
While this wont cost Coussins and Simpson family members
anything, (unless they want to offer a donation to the set
up and ongoing development costs of the site) they will still have to be registered in order to see anything on the new
website. This means that unless your a Coussins family member or a Simpson family member you wont have access.
It is not possible to pass on the password you select to anyone else unless you live in the same household as the
password protect facility will only allow access from a particular computer unless you reregister on a different computer.
Please understand that this is for our own protection and to stop unwelcome access such as Spam, Trojan Horse virus
and other lovely internet terrors. The website will also have a forum and possible personal access where the registered
person can add information to the web pages in the area that concerns themselves or their family line.
The Coussins section and the Simpson
section will be quite different , again due to the diverse nature
of the backgrounds. Although saying that , we all came from a farming background.
