Subject: Hello!
Dear Mr. Coussins,
Having just returned home from Montreal, after N.Y. -
Quebec cruise of 10-24 Sept., I'd like to thank you
again for the most amazing experience of listening to
you almost every night! (I am the piano teacher from
Central California who kept shouting "Bravo!" so loudly
that your brother could hear me, I'm sure, in your house
on Mallorca!). You made this cruise absolutely
unforgettable for me!!!
I visited your websites, and I will continue exploring
them. I couldn't find your performance schedule, but I'd
like to, because I hope to see you and to listen to you
again - on a "Princess" ship or anywhere else!
YOU ARE PHENOMENAL, RAY!!!
If you have a moment, please drop me a line. Let me know
your schedule. Also, where can I purchase your CDs
and/or DVDs?
With your awesome talent, wonderful personality and a
great sense of humor, you are absolutely ONE-OF-A-KIND,
and you make people very, very happy!
Hope to hear from you soon!
All the best!
Irina Kogan.

Dear Mr. Coussins
I apologize if this is an intrusion but I needed to write...
Margaret, my friend of many years, and I were on the Crown
Princess, October 4th - 14th. We had the most wonderful holiday
and it was made even more special by the privilege of hearing
you play. We were spellbound. I know Margaret would want me to
say that she was especially moved by listening to you playing
from Les Miserables.
I can only say to you that your music touched my soul. It was
such an honour to be with you. I could never thank you enough -
forgive me because this note certainly doesn't do it.
You have blessed myriads and myriads of people through the
years, I know. So this is thank you from just one more. I have
found your website - again, thank you, and I look forward to
enjoying that also. That is an incredibly generous gift.
With immeasurable gratitude and love - and wishing you all the
continuing happiness and success in the world.

Dear Mr. Coussins,
Just coming off the Crown Princess this past weekend, I finally
have the chance to sit down and write you a letter.
I want to thank you for making this cruise for my friends and I
so utterly memorable.
I consider myself to have a pretty well-rounded knowledge of
music. Though I am about 10 years younger than the friends I was
with, when they brought to my attention
that a piano player who had worked with Frank Sinatra was
performing in the lounge, I thought it would be worthwhile to
check it out.
I don't know if it was fate that brought us to the Crooners Bar
to see you or not, but I have to tell you that we were forever
changed by the performances we witnessed night after night
throughout the week.
I have never been so mesmerized by a musical performance than I
was those nights I spent listening to you play. And, you know,
being from another generation I never really gave much thought
to piano masters such as Liberace or Victor Borge'. That being
said, listening to you play lent to the most enjoyable moments I
had on the cruise all week. I am in complete awe of your
God-given talent.
I must tell you, I was very much taken back by the fact that you
are a highly warm and personable individual. We spent a few days
with you in The Sanctuary during our week and you could not have
been any nicer. There were so many times that I wanted to walk
up to you and tell you how much your music affected me, but I
abstained from doing so
because I was afraid I would not sound sincere -- thus, the
reason for wanting to write you this letter.
I did tell you that my friends and I wanted to book our next
cruise around your appearance because of our desire to see you
perform again. Unfortunately, I could not find a schedule of
dates on your website.
I want to finally thank you for allowing me to videotape your
performance. I taped two hours of material that I must say,
looks very professional. I took great care in trying to
photograph it with long shots and close-ups so that the viewer is
further enveloped in the performance. Though I am certain you
have a lot of footage that other people have
sent to you, I would happy to send you a copy on DVD if you
wish. I am just so proud to have captured your lounge
performance on video so I can watch it over and over again.
I have also downloaded your music from your website and been
playing it for the past few days in my car. Please continue to
upload more material.
I don't know how sincere you were about contacting us when you
come to New York City, but we would love nothing more than to
meet and take you out to lunch when you come to town.
Once again, thank you for your music, the kindness you showed to
us, and making our cruise memorable. You have true fans
here and we hope to see you play again soon.
Warmest Regards
Ronald Epstein

Hello Ray, just a quick note of thanks for the
fabulous entertainment you provided on Crown Princess last
week. Charlotte and I have amassed 17 total cruises (15 of them
on Princess) and enjoyed you and your music the most by far on
all our adventures at sea. Your style is engaging, warm and
genuinely friendly...rarely seen these days. We were truly
honored when you accepted our invitation to attend our wedding
on May 5 officiated by Captain Proctor. We'll monitor your web
site in hopes of meeting up with you again on a future
cruise...perhaps our anniversary cruise next May. All our
best...Tom and Charlotte Andrews, Tempe AZ

Dear Ray,
We were on the Crown Princess last week
(March 26 thru April 2nd) and
watched your perform twice in the lounge and
once in the theater. We were the four ladies
that sat up front.
I was mesmerized by your performances and I
do believe you are the best pianist I have
ever heard.
Just wanted to tell you how delightful it
was to hear you and thank you for being so
kind and gracious to all of your guests.
Your talent is God given and amazing!
God bless you,

I DID IT MY WAY"!!!
Hi Ray: Great to hear from you!!.
A person's life is can be measured, in part, by the
quality of people, one has met, during "the journey".
Having enjoyed your "presence" during that cruise
still remains one of my treasured times. Hope all is
well with you, and I should know , within the next two
weeks, our availability for the October sailings. To
an entertainer (and person) of extraordinary talent,
and true sincerity, we look forward to an October
rendezvous. A cruise can be "just a cruise", but
with Mr Raymond Coussins onboard, it can become as
priceless as the Hope Diamond. Your friends,
Jerry and Millie Kline

Hi Ray,
I've just returned home from a cruise on the Grand Princess. To put
it simply, You're fantastic!
The draw to watching you was initially the Sinatra songs that you
were playing as I walked past the piano bar every evening and so
when we saw you had an evening showcase in the Vista lounge I made
sure I was there early! It became clear early on that seats when you
were sat at that piano were hard to come by!
As a 23 year old girl who enjoys going out with her friends too many
nights a week, it tends to be unusual that I have a CD shelf in my
room purely for the Rat Pack... If only other performers did them
the justice you did.
And it wasn't just the Sinatra songs... You're a perfect performer
in your own right. Of course you know that... But it can't hurt to
hear it eh? Rhapsody and blue? Swoon... haha.
Highlight of the cruise was that night.
And maybe the sun that we see too little of in England!
Thank you, Take care.

Well, I couldn't wait to get home and
write to you to thank you for giving us the
highlight of our trip - YOU AND YOUR MUSIC!
Here I thought that I was going to be unique
and tell you in the most moving and
elaborate way possible how AMAZING you are,
and how INCREDIBLY TALENTED you are, and how
YOU made our cruise more special than any
other we've ever been on before, and how YOU
and YOUR MUSIC were what I looked forward to
more than anything else, including anything
I would experience in Hawaii - All so very
true!
But then I started to read all of your other
emails and realized that every single thing
that I wanted to tell you had already been
said MANY, MANY times by many others who you
touched as you touched me - So is there
anything left for me to say that may be my
own special offering of gratitude that can
even come close to letting you know how much
more beautiful this cruise was for me
because of you? Maybe not...but from the
bottom of my heart I thank you for sharing
your musical brilliance with me; a totally
unexpected treat that touched my heart, and
my soul, and filled me with your magic!
I wish you many more happy, healthy
travels as you continue to share your great
gift with those lucky enough to receive it -
I hope to be one of those lucky people again
one day - and although mere words simply can
not express just how much pleasure you bring
to everyone, I absolutely had to try to let
you know what it meant to me! You told me
that I can download your music from your
website and I can't wait to do that so that
I can listen to you all the time!!
With my heartfelt Thanks,
Shelley (&Mario) Soulema

We were just on the Sapphire
Princess Cruise 1/16 to 1/23….and our best time was hearing you
perform in the lounge. You are so REAL
With such God given Talent
that you share at your age .. YES I am 69 and I only wish I had a
thumb nail of your Talent. I sat just next to your Piano and you
told me “ It’s very loud”. I said I was Deaf (not so)… After your 1
hour performance, I said to you “ You are Just OK” !! You said
..”Not bad for someone Deaf”!! I like to tease,
BUT you are a MAESTRO that no one can compare.
May you enjoy your MELLO YEARS as I am.
Stay well, Happy and ENJOY YOURSELF,

Hello Ray,
My husband recently sailed on
the Princess Sapphire; I must say that you were a highlight
of that cruise. We have travelled all over the world and have
listened to many piano players, none have had the talent or
charisma that you have. We thoroughly enjoyed your wonderful
talent for playing the piano, your special style of singing,
and of course, your wonderful stories. It was truly a
pleasure to sail with you. Look forward to sailing with you
again.

Hi Ray: this goes back a year or more: was it the Caribbean
Princess or the Crown? I can’t remember. it’s Mike-you may
remember me as the guy, in a tux, who requested “Rachmaninoff”
when you asked for suggestions. Little did I know just how good
you were and how many classics you did play. Well, I felt like a
clown for that, but you, the consummate PRO, never wavered in
your amazing performances. And you played all the other tunes we
all like to hear-those with meaning and stories. More
importantly we realized just how nice you were, how very good
you were and how much you loved to play. My nightly visits to
the piano lounge every night thereafter had my girlfriend worn
out so she didn’t always attend. I couldn’t avoid the attraction
to relive the impressions you provided because I too love piano
and the standards.
Next time I’ll look for you and then I’ll book the cruise.

We recently had the pleasure of listening to you play on
the Crown Princess. What a treat!!!!!!!!! You have a God
given talent and your playing transported us back to a time of
love and romance. Your music made the cruise for us.
So having discovered you, do you have CD's that we can
purchase? We would love to remember you, your stories and
music.
Thank you and may every day be a good day.

Dear Ray,
I would like to let you know that Sofya and I are very grateful
for you sharing your talent and spirit with us during the Alaska
cruise on Princess on May 26 – 30. We both were astonished and could
not believe our luck to be able to enjoy a company
of a professional
of such calibre.
You with your passion, talent and kindness made for us two
vacations instead of one. You see, because of you we talk about two
events that happened to us in May 2008: we went on a cruise and we
met Ray Coussins who with all his greatness allowed us in his world
and shared the gift of his music with us.
You are the best piano player we have ever listened to. This is
not only because of you incredible technique or beautiful and
passionate voice or undeniable taste and selection of music you
play. All this with your personality and character made our
experience unique. Thank you so much!
We are listening to your MP3s and watching your videos from your
web site very often. I remember you were mentioning that there is an
opportunity to get your DVD as well. If it is possible, we would
like to have it, hence we could spend more time sitting by the
fireplace and enjoying your company, although you may be far away
cruising somewhere out there.
Please send our complements to your brother Craig, who created
such a great web site for you.
God bless you!
Your Russian friends,

Dear Ray,
Just a note to tell you THANK YOU! You will never know how
much it meant to me to hear you play "When I fall in Love" each
evening on the Crown Princess. I will forever remember your
kindness. I needed to get through a very important step in my
life, and being able to hear this special song played so
beautifully helped so much. Know that I will be listening to
your music often. That is a special gift you have given all of
us who have heard your play in person!
You are an amazing, talented, kind person and I look forward
to seeing you again one day on another cruise.

Ray: This was our 11th cruise, but none was
more memorable than the cruise aboard the Island Princess to
Alaska, from August 25th thru August 31st. With your awesome
display of talent and music appreciation. I thoroughly enjoyed
your renditions of "Rhapsody in Blue", "Phantom of the Opera",
and of course, "My Way"- - - - - now known as "the Perfect
Trifecta" (I felt as though "Frank" was there acknowledging
your talent and smiling in appreciation!) I am sure that I
speak, not only for myself and my wife, but for all those
"cruisers" who were delighted with your creativity and
responded with thunderous approval, when I say the cruise and
the Alaska experience was a "Masterpiece" highlighted by The
Master himself---Mr. Ray Coussins.

Jerry & Mil
Kline Ray, we just got back for our cruise
on the Royal Caribbean, Voyager of the
Seas (Jan. 6 - Jan. 13)
where we were regulars at your Schooner Bar performances last week.
We thoroughly enjoyed your playing and singing.
You were blessed with wonderful talent and have worked hard to
cultivate that gift.
You come across as fun and in a way that you just make people
care about you.
Your presence is both playful and genuine.
Thanks for the memories. We will look for you next cruise.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr.Coussins,
In January my
husband, two friends and I took the seven day cruise from Galveston
to the Caribbean. You astounded us with your music ! We listened
every night, I cannot express adequately the pleasure you gave to
each of us. There were two songs which I requested that you were
gracious enough to play one from Les Miserable and the other, "How
Do You Keep the Music Playing". Both songs remain in my memory
today. You made our trip so much more enjoyable than it would have
been otherwise. A heartfelt Thank You !
You told us that you had never visited Houston. Please know that
we would be thrilled to have you visit us at any time .
We are taking another cruise on Royal Caribbean aboard the
Voyager again in April. It departs from Galveston on April 29th.
This cruise ends in Barcelona; the Voyager is not returning to the
US. It would be wonderful if your schedule would permit you to again
entertain on this cruise. We can only hope that we could be so lucky
!
We wish you only the best of luck, health and happiness in the
future.
Yours,
Gloria Taylor

| Dear Raymond,
It was absolutely
wonderful meeting you recently during our Alaska cruise. Just to
help you remember me, you and I spoke for a few minutes after your
session on our last night. I an tall and have short silver hair...I
asked you to play Toot, Toot, Tootsie!!!! Remember?
Anyway, you need to know that my friend, cousins
and I really
enjoyed your playing and singing such beautiful music. You are a
tremendous talent and brought us great joy and happiness listening
and humming along.
Hope you are having a great time on your current cruise. Please
drop me a line when you get a chance. Thank you for all the
happiness you brought and
most of all for sharing your beautiful
smile and
talents.
Best regards,
Jean Spencer

Dear Ray,
Well, pardon the "first
name" intimacy, but my daughter Cristina and I just felt we got to
know you (as I know many must) with all your personal and amusing
stories.
Of course, all these things would not be so charming if they were
not backed up by your considerable talent and professionalism at the
keyboard. What an entertainer you are! I don't know how Princess was
so lucky as to snare you.
I'm writing an account of our trip (not for publication-just my
own family's amusement), and just telling of our great evenings in
the Martini Bar with you inspired me to write and thank you. Our
chats and listening to you contributed greatly to the success of our
cruise.
Thanks and best wishes,
Frances Raedeker

Good evening Ray;
Attachment is the photograph Eric took during our Alaska Cruise, 25
Aug. to 8th of September.
After reading the email posted on your website I wanted to say just
how much we enjoyed your music.
Although we had been on the Island Princess for two weeks the last
Sunday (7th Sept) was the first time we had heard you play in the
theater.
The music was truly memorable and left me wanting to share it with
everyone. Then of course the times we listened in the Crooners Bar
and
felt that we were friends. Your have a blessed gift of making people
feel at home. A truly remarkable gift of entertainment that brings
your
music into our hearts.
Your webpage is in the process of going out to all my friends to
share with them the pleasure we had in listening to you.
I truly wish for you everything you wish for yourself, .
Kindest thoughts
